Chapter 3

Why is it important/not important to have shelter for the little ones?

It is important so that they are separated from the big'uns. Also when the wind is up they don't get swallowed by the tendrils.

What are the various jobs assigned to the boys?

Some jobs are making the shelter which no one was very rapt in making.

Why aren't they carried out?

They became lazy in making the shelters and do not try very hard.

What do you feel is the most important for survival?

The most important thing for survival is the signal fire whose smoke is opaque.

Describe Simon. (If you are Simon, describe yourself)

I say that he is a nice little, inscrutable boy.

What do you think will happen on this island if you don’t get rescued soon?

We will turn into savages and kill each other.

Why don’t you get along with Jack (in this chapter)?

He just has a compulsion to try to be the top chief instead of being happy with hunter chief.
